The Dogs Trust FREE Microchipping

dogs trustThe High Park project are pleased to announce The Dogs Trust are coming to Southport Community Centre

Tuesday 2nd February 2016 from 11am – 3pm to provide a FREE on the spot microchipping service. Please note all handlers must be 18 years or over, all dogs must be on a collar & lead and proof of address will be required.

The law is changing and from 6th April 2016 all dogs have to be microchipped. The Dogs Trust can also chat with dog owners about neutering and may be able to provide support with the cost (depending on eligibility)

Also available on the day are the local park rangers to answer any questions, dog treats and doggy bags, and a fun dogs café. The microchipping will be indoors and the dogs café will be in a marquee on the front car park of Southport Community Centre.

Please ensure all dogs are on a collar & lead at all times, and due to limited parking facilities we advise that you walk with your dog to the event. There will be lots of lovely doggy goodies, nibbles, information and advice.

Don’t miss out – put 2nd February 2016 in your diary!

HUGE thanks to everyone who came to our Dogs Trust microchipping event at Southport Community Centre on Tuesday 2nd February! Wow – what an amazing attendance – over 100 dogs were microchipped for free by the Dogs Trust

Thank you to all the dogs and you, their owners, for your support on such a cold, windy February day.

Thank you to everyone who attended and voted for your favourite ‘Bag it and Bin it’ posters designed by local children – the winners are here and are being made into banners to be displayed locally

Thank you to our local PCSO Eve, the local dog warden Chris, park ranger James, Mike from the Dogs Trust, Mad Dog training, Lesley from Tesco, Ali, Emma, Alison and everyone else who came to help out – we honestly couldn’t do any of this without all your help and support!

A big thank you to The Print Quarter for our fabulous event banners and a huge thank you to everyone who liked, shared & promoted the event for us – you really did a brilliant job of getting the word out there!

Thank you all very much!
See you all soon
