As part of the Project, we hire the Parenting 2000 Community Bus to park up in the heart of High Park every two weeks on Monday afternoons.
Local residents can come along, get advice and guidance on a whole range of issues from employment to healthy lifestyles and community activities to FREE healthy food demos and tasters.
This week saw Matty from Brighter Living Partnership casually cook up chicken fajitas on the roadside near Devonshire Rd Park which came in handy for the dog walkers on a cold winter afternoon. In fact, Matty will be there every 2 weeks cooking something different and giving out recipe cards.
The bus has full FREE WiFi and computer access for all your techno needs and if you need a bit of help navigating your way through it all, there’ll be someone around to help you out.
Rachel Wheble – the Project Co-Ordinator, is always on board and ready to listen to what High Parkers want to see in their community and encouraging them to HAVE THEIR SAY through the Community Action Group.
Come and say hello, meet Rachel and have a chat!
