The High Park project had lots of fun working with the pupils from the school council at Meols Cop High School. the school council planned all the activities, manned the stalls and helped the younger children have lots of fun – HUGE well done!

High Park residents we have an Children’s Easter Party at Southport Community Centre Thursday 31st March 3.30pm – 5.00pm
The High Park project are excited to be working with the young people from the school council at Meols Cop High School to put on an Easter party for local children –
Lots of fun – including *Design an Easter egg *Arts and crafts *Face painting *Guess the name of the bunny
Just £1.00 per child – pay on the door with all proceeds going to Macmillan and Make A Wish Foundation

We are really excited to start working with Southbank Tennis Club on Roe Lane in Southport. We have lots of plans for the summer school holidays & they involve (amoungst other things)….tennis!
Southbank Tennis Club have an open day Saturday 19th March 2pm – 4pm – all equipment will be provided and all you need to do is bring trainers! Perfect opportunity to bring the kids to try tennis for FREE and you can stay, chat & watch your children play

What a brilliant 3 days! We loved working with The library In The Gardens to bring local children’s author Peter Lynas to read and chat with the children at Bishop David Sheppard Primary School, Linaker children’s Centre, Canning Road & Home-Start Canning Road.
We brought Quick Reads books for the parents and fun & reading for the children, so the whole family can enjoy books. Thank you to all the children & parents who joined us!
Big thank you to everyone who joined us and local adult author Carys Bray for afternoon tea to raise money for Claire House Children’s Hospice – a great afternoon which raised £142.45!
World Book Day is Thursday 3rd March, but we want to spread some ‘book love’ for longer than a day so we are hosting our own World Book Week here at the High Park project
Working with the North Meols Library Association – ‘The Library in The Gardens’ – we have fabulous local authors, lots of books, events and activities planned for all ages …
The books have arrived so if you….already love books or if you want to start reading again or just find out a bit more about local authors, what it’s like to write a book & how to get started writing – come & join us!
