Our Community Spooky Fancy Dress Party was a screaming success!
Over 90 local residents came to All Souls Church Hall on 31st October for some fun in an evening that saw half-term week draw to a close.
After a frantic day of decorating, with a lot of help from local residents including Sue and her boys Luke, Josh and Tyler, we were ready for a night of fun and games.
Party-goers flexed their muscles and threw their best dance moves in an exhilarating session with Vicci from Southport-based ‘Street Beatz’ dance company and even some of the parents seemed to be getting in to it… especially local residents Lisa!

Wrap the mummy (as modelled by Brighter Living’s very own Matty above) went down a treat and well done to the girl’s team who beat the boys in to first place for speedy mummy-wrapping.
Another of our local team, Vicki (picture above), manning the ‘guess what’s in the bucket’ station – ‘worms’ and all kinds.
Local resident, Lois (pictured to the right above), volunteered to keep the children occupied with a host of art and craft activities, which everyone loved.

Nicky and Sou, both Brighter Living staff, cooked up a storm in the newly-refurbished kitchen – witches fingers for the kids, pumpkin soup and healthy veggie curry for the adults.
Thank you to everyone who came but a special thanks go to the local residents who helped make it happen – Lisa, Sue, Lois, Vicky, Zoe and Diane. Here’s to the next one!
