Improving Bispham Road

Bispham Road is the commercial heart of High Park. This high street has seen many changes over the years and the High Park project received feedback that people wanted improvements to be made in the area. This led the project to cofund planters on Bispham Road and the creation of the Bispham Road Improvement Group. These planters were built by Natural Alternatives – a diversity and access programme run by Green Sefton. This programme offers educational and work opportunities for local people, disengaged young people and people with additional needs.

Did you Know?

St. Simon’s and St. Jude’s Church was first located on High Park Road. It opened in 1893 on the 28th of October by Bishop Ryle the then Bishop of Liverpool. In 1897 the church had to be demolished due to shifting foundations. A new church of iron & wood was erected in 1898 keeping many original features. Now the church of St. Simon and St. Jude with All Souls is located on Old Park Lane.
